Refund Policy

The short version: Snaproll comes with a 14-day free trial so you can fully evaluate it before paying anything. Once you subscribe, we don't offer refunds — but you can cancel at any time and we won't bill you again.

1. Free trial — your evaluation period

Every new customer gets a 14-day free trial after their account is approved. The trial gives you full access to most features so you can decide whether Snaproll is right for your organisation:

  • Upload your records (Excel)
  • Upload member photographs
  • Edit, browse, and search your data
  • Generate single ID-card-grade photos
  • Test the app on mobile, install it as a PWA, etc.

The trial period is the evaluation. If Snaproll doesn't work for you, simply don't upgrade — no payment, no refund needed.

2. Features that require a paid subscription

The following high-value features are not available during the free trial and require an active paid subscription:

  • Bulk data export (download all records as Excel)
  • Photo ZIP download (bulk export of all photos)
  • Shared link generation (sending records to end users for verification)
  • Bulk export by columns (multi-photo export)

This means you can fully evaluate the product, but you cannot extract the work product without subscribing first. We think this is the fairest way to balance "try before you buy" with our need to be paid for the value we deliver.

3. Refunds on paid subscriptions

Snaproll does not offer refunds on subscription payments. The 14-day free trial gives you a full opportunity to evaluate the service before committing financially. By upgrading to a paid plan, you confirm that the trial period was sufficient to make an informed decision.

This applies to:

  • Initial subscription payments after the trial ends
  • Subscription renewals (annual or monthly)
  • Add-on or upgraded-tier payments

4. Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time:

  • From the customer dashboard, by clicking "Cancel subscription" (when this control becomes available)
  • Or by emailing support@snaproll.in from the address on file

When you cancel:

  • Your subscription remains active until the end of the period you have already paid for. You continue to have full access until then.
  • No further charges will be made.
  • At the end of the paid period, your account moves to a locked state. You can re-subscribe to restore access, or choose Data Parking (see Section 5).

5. Data Parking

If you're not ready to renew but want to keep your data with us, Data Parking is an alternative to letting your subscription lapse:

  • Pricing (all + 18% GST): ₹1,299 if you were on a 3-month plan · ₹999 if you were on a 6-month plan · ₹2,500 if you were on a 12-month plan
  • Duration: 1 year of cold storage. We keep your records and photos safe.
  • Access during parking: NONE. You cannot log in to view, edit, or download anything while parked. To get back, you must renew a paid plan — at which point your data and access are restored immediately.
  • Renewable: pay the same parking fee again at year-end to extend by another year. Indefinitely renewable.
  • Mid-parking renewal: if you renew a paid plan during the parking year, the parking ends immediately and the unused parking time is forfeited (no refund or pro-rata credit).
  • Refunds on parking fees: same as paid subscriptions — none.

6. Data deletion timeline (no renewal, no parking)

If your subscription expires AND you don't park your data AND you don't renew, your data is permanently deleted on the following timeline:

  • Day 0 of expiry: account moves to locked state. We send an email reminder.
  • 30-day grace period: 3 reminder emails + 3 SMS sent during this window. Each clearly shows the calculated deletion date.
  • Day 30: all records, photographs, and account data are permanently deleted. There is no recovery.

The same 30-day grace + permanent-deletion timeline applies at the end of a Data Parking period (1-year park ends → 30-day grace with reminders → permanent deletion).

The only way to preserve data after expiry is to renew a paid plan or opt in to Data Parking. Once data is deleted, we cannot recover it. Plan accordingly.

7. Exceptions

We may, at our sole discretion, issue a refund or service credit in exceptional circumstances such as:

  • Service failure on our side that prevented you from using Snaproll for a substantial period (e.g. extended outage, permanent loss of your data through our fault).
  • Duplicate or accidental charge caused by a payment-system error.
  • Where required by Indian consumer-protection law.

If you believe one of these applies to your situation, email support@snaproll.in with the subject "Refund request" and a brief description. We will respond within 7 business days.

8. How refunds are processed (when granted)

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method through our payment processor (Razorpay). Refunds typically appear on your statement within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
